Introducing Samantha Smith: Sabre Engineering’s New Indigenous Engagement Manager

I am excited to introduce myself as the new Indigenous Engagement Manager at Sabre Engineering. In this role, I’ll be leading initiatives aimed at creating positive, long-lasting impacts for Indigenous Australians, working closely with communities, organisations, and partners to foster greater inclusion, opportunity, and empowerment.

What drew me to Sabre Engineering is their genuine commitment to creating positive change, not only through their engineering work but also within the communities they impact. As an Aboriginal woman, I am particularly inspired by their focus on sustainability, respect, and responsibility—values that align with my own heritage and personal beliefs. I’m excited to be part of a team that shares these core principles and is dedicated to making a meaningful difference.

The focus of my work at Sabre will be to drive initiatives that support Indigenous communities through meaningful partnerships, education, employment opportunities, and community development. I am passionate about creating opportunities that not only empower but also respect the knowledge and traditions of Indigenous Australians. It’s an exciting opportunity to work with a company that shares these values and is dedicated to driving real change.

Sabre’s support of Indigenous engagement isn’t just about meeting goals or checking boxes—it’s about creating genuine, impactful outcomes. Their approach is both thoughtful and proactive, recognising the importance of culture, history, and future aspirations for Indigenous peoples.
I am truly honoured to be joining a company that is focused on fostering positive social change, and I look forward to contributing to initiatives that will continue to build a more inclusive, supportive, and connected future for Indigenous Australians.

Thank you for welcoming me to the Sabre family. I can’t wait to work together on this meaningful journey ahead.
